High School Calendar | AHE Home
The academic year for students enrolled in The Academy of Home Education generally runs from mid-August through early June with various holiday breaks scheduled, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a spring break.
The AHE school year requires a 180-day enrollment period which is necessary in order to validate the units of academic credit, particularly at the high school level.
The school calendar provides a structure for grade reporting with a view toward the timely and successful completion of all course work prior to graduation.
High School Checklist and Timetable of Due Dates
First Semester
- Reminders:
- Juniors and Seniors register for ACT/SAT
- Juniors and Seniors may find the Career Direct Evaluation to be helpful in deciding on a college major.
- Prior to Beginning of School

- Test materials will be mailed to your tester. If test scores are lower than the minimum level established by AHE, a homeschool consultant will contact you to assist in remediation.
- Juniors may continue to order class rings
through June - Register for Family Camp & Graduation.

End of Year
- Second Semester reporting deadline*.

- Complete the Re-enrollement Form
and submit along with the annual administration fee for the new school year. - AHE Family Camp and Graduation Event
- Graduation ceremony for the Academy of Home Education seniors at Bob Jones University.
- Receive the student's final report card and checklist when all grades have been submitted for the year.
*Late fees ($25/form) are required after this date.
