Testing & Evaluation

Welcome to Testing & Evaluation

Let’s Get Started!

You don’t have to dread testing. We’re here to make it easy for you!

Choose between online testing and paper and pencil tests. Printed practice tests are available for either option.

Start by creating an account, then choose a test format (online or paper/pencil). See below for the next steps:

Online Testing

  1. Steps
    1. Select a test series (Iowa Assessments or Stanford 10).
      1. The Iowa Assessments (© 2012) is a timed test available for all grades. It can also be ordered in combination with the Cognitive Abilities Test™ for Grades 3–12.
      2. The Stanford 10 (© 2003) is an untimed test offered only for Grades 3–12. The Otis Lennon School Abilities Test is not offered online.
    2. Start with the systems check for your test types on the device that will be used.
    3. Choose a test level and test date.
    4. Add the test(s) to your Cart, and place your order.
    5. Check your inbox. Information for downloading the secure browser, logging in, and more will be coming after you order.
  2. Benefits:
    1. We provide an approved test administrator. You won’t need to search for someone who meets publisher requirements.
      • Please note that an adult will still need to be present with the student but that this person will not need to apply to become a test administrator.
    2. You’ll get faster results. Online testing customers get results in 5–7 business days.
    3. No shipping. There are no materials to wait for and nothing to ship back. Once you’ve completed the assessments, you’re done. You only need to wait for the scores.

Paper/Pencil Testing

  1. Steps:
    1. Choose a test series.
      1. The Iowa Assessments (© 2012) is a timed test available for all grades. It can also be ordered in combination with the Cognitive Abilities Test™ (CogAT®) for Grades K5 Spring–12.
        1. Results for the Iowa Assessments are typically available in 2–4 weeks.
        2. Although the publisher prefers that administrators have a bachelor’s degree, a bachelor’s degree is not required for the Iowa Assessments.
      2. The Stanford 10 (© 2003) is an untimed test offered for Grades K5–12. It can also be used in combination with the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test® (OLSAT).
        1. Stanford 10 results for paper/pencil testing are ready in 6–8 weeks after materials arrive in our office. BJU Press cannot control delays or expedite scores.
        2. Stanford 10 requires that test administrators have a bachelor’s degree or higher.
    2. Find or become an approved tester. Search our Test Administrator Directory and coordinate with a pre-approved test administrator in your area; or apply to become a test administrator.
    3. Place your order.
      1. Test materials ship to your test administrator about 2 weeks ahead of the test date.
      2. Order 4 weeks ahead to take advantage of free ground shipping.
    4. Have your test administered. Make sure the roster is signed.
    5. Ship materials so that they arrive on or before the due date on your order.
  2. Benefits:
    1. This method can be more accessible for those with limited computer access.
    2. We allow accommodations for students with diagnosed needs.
    3. The test date is more flexible.

Check your scores online.

You will get an email when results are available. We will post scores electronically for all forms of achievement and abilities testing.
