Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool for all students I used "Vacation Station" this summer for my 6.5 year old. I am a former homeschooler and used this product years ago with my older children. I remembered how helpful it was to keep my children's skills up in math and reading through the summer. I know it works so I used it again with a little boy we adopted. He goes to a private school that uses a different curriculum but "Vacation Station" seem to work well, just the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our parents appreciate having the review books for the summer. We've had good feedback about the Vacation Stations and parents appreciate having books to follow-up with and reinforce what their children learned during the school year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My boys actually love doing their workbooks! I thought it was going to be hard to motivate them to do school work in the Summer, but this is just two pages a day, plus reading and they actually ask to do their pages! I will definitely use Vacation Stations again next Summer. I highly recommend this workbook!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I used this to keep my grand daughter caught up during the summer. It was a great way to stay on track. Great way to keep kids on track with their skills during the summer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YAY! I wanted something that my children can do independently while i'm pregnant(I need more rest during this part of my life). I wanted it to be beneficial for them(not just watching tv). This book, that a friend from church told me about, was such a blessing. The kids really enjoy them and like marking off their progress each day and week. :) I'm VERY pleased with this book! :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great way to keep the material fresh in their minds! I am using Vacation Stations with my soon to be first grader this summer. While she drags her feet to do it, she usually ends up doing well at it. It has a good balance between keeping her sharp on things shes learned in K-5, but not being so hard that she gives up. I did notice that she stumbles when they use different letter type than the pre-cursive letters that she learned to write her letters in. I am there to help her, though, and I realize that library books will also have different fonts. I also find that she has a hard time when they make the letters or numbers smaller (about 1/3 the size) than what she is supposed to write on the line. She really relies on those handwriting guidelines to help her form her numbers and letters. My other daughter would not have found this hard at all, but for some children, it may cause them some confusion. That said, I love that BJU makes these books available for students on all the same material (math concepts, grammer concepts, etc) that they previously learned. Its amazing how quickly they can forget, so this enables them to review during the summer and hit the ground running in the fall. I will continue to use these books with both my girls (rising first grader and rising fifth grader).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeping things simple The Education Director from my daughter's school recommended this tool for summer engagement. I am pleased with the simpliciity and ease of use for both of us. She will work on her two pages each day and color the reading opportunities. I review her work at the end of the day and discuss what she thought was easy or difficult. I enjoy the conversation that can come about using this tool and knowing that she is keeping a steady check on subject matter she already has a grasp on will hopefully keep her prepared for walking into the door of her 1st grade classroom this fall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! We are having fewer parents who want to spend the money or vacation station. For this reason, we offer, if the student does the work through the summer, when they turn in their completed book (at open house night) we give them a $10.00 lunch ticket. We feel it's that important!!
