This lab manual promotes analytical thinking and inductive problem-solving skills through experiments that reinforce text concepts. Thirty-five labs thoroughly cover the twenty chapters of the textbook and allow students to gain skill in using all of the standard chemistry laboratory equipment. In this new edition, color has been added to all artwork, the instructions have been clarified and all labs have been tested for accuracy. Several new labs support new textbook material.

Chemistry Lab ManualI like that the list of materials are provided. I like that the "recipie" for concentration for molar solutions are provided....I think this is useful to novice Chemistry teachers.
The lab manual is much better than the BJU Physics lab manual which needs better guidance for the instructor. The Chemistry product is very well written and does adequate guidance for the instructor.

Profit overrides longevity.I'm a BJ alumnus ('68) and have used bju Press materials for several decades (I'm in my 43rd year) while teaching in the secondary level. I teach Chem, Bio, A & P, along with the Jr. high sciences. Smaller Christian schools such as ours tend to pay more for textbooks (over a period of time) that are now produced in a consumable form. The hard-backed texts that you used to publish lasted much longer than the current form of publications and so, obviously, they tended to last much longer than the current publications. Content wise I'm very pleased with your textbooks. They're up to date and attractively put together. Although I doubt it would happen I would be excited if bju Press reverted back to publishing hard-backed textbooks and that would save the Christian school dollars over the long haul.

Great! This is great for students to use in association with the textbook, relating the two together well.
