Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overly Conservative in Presentation I do not presentations of some, such as Jimmy Carter. The text says he professed to be a born-again Christian, but he didn't...(forgot the exact info.). I think it is inappropriate to judge his Christianity by an action and I think it is harmful to students to categorize people so generally. It leads to an "us" and "them" type mentality which does not allow for thought before passing judgement. I feel that it unhealthy in an educational environment. Expensive in softcover format

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 5th grade Heritage Studies Overall I like this. I do wish the book gave US history from Columbus to the present day because I find many students do not "remember" the earlier history and I think it is important for them to see God's hand in the founding and growth of our nation. I think it's also important for them to see how America has walked away from God and needs to go back to Him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Text! I love the era covered in Edition 3. I am not looking forward to Edition 4 as I believe that 5th graders need to move on from the 1800s. I also do not appreciate the current social issues brought up at the end of the book in Edition 4. I'm keeping 3 as long as possible!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good curriculum This curriculum is very interesting. I love learning about history with my son with a biblical world view. This curriculum holds our attention. My son likes learning History. He told me that he doesn't want me to use anything other than Bob Jones History curriculums during his homeschooling career. He remembers alot of what he learns because the information is presented in a relevant and interesting way. The bible verses in the text book are put at the right times. The photos in the book are cool, too.
