Total academic challengeI homeschool our 17 year old daughter in her 12th grade year. This British Lit book is very good. I personally graduated w/a Bachelor's in English Language & Lit and can honestly say that I studied many of the works in this British Lit book that I did in college. This book, no doubt, will challenge the student to perform at a higher level than regular high school level. The work is harder, more challenging, but very, very worth it. In fact, my daughter was a dual-enrollment student last year and took both college English courses (101 and 102) at the local college, only to find out that they covered what this British Lit book is covering for high school seniors - wow! The same went for the Bob Jones American Lit book that we did last year as well. There's no doubt that this British Lit book will prepare your child for college level English courses. Even if your child is not going to college, the content of this British Lit book is interesting. Going into the works, thus the minds, of some of the greatest writers of our past and present is very interesting, indeed. I definitely recommend this book to homeschoolers.
