K5 Student Kit

K5 Student Kit
The K5 preschool educational materials teach kindergarteners to develop a broad base of interests by applying their natural curiosity. Bible stories and lessons in Bible Truths spark an early interest in God’s Word. In addition to teaching art, science, and heritage studies, K5 Beginnings teaches listening, phonics, and reading comprehension. Math manipulatives are used to illustrate basic math concepts such as numbers, time, and money. Music K encourages preschool students to get active and learn about music at the same time.

When you purchase a complete student kit, not only do you save money but you also gain the strength of unified educational materials. Though choosing textbooks from many sources may seem to provide flexibility and customization, using the complete educational materials of BJU Press lets students focus on learning rather than on navigating yet another perspective. BJU Press textbooks provide consistency in scriptural and academic standards—every subject, every grade. And our teacher's editions and ancillary materials allow for generous flexibility and customization within a unified biblical worldview.

Please note that this kit is not compatible with Distance Learning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 stars Our teachers really like the fact that the curriculum stresses the critical thinking skills. This is our second year using the materials in K5 - 6th grade, and we are very pleased with them. October 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Completely love it I am using this worktext in combination with K5 DVD program. The pages in this worktext are brightly colored and fun. My children especially enjoy cut and paste activities , and there are even little books in the back for them to color and fold together. The pages tear out easily. I find this program very easy to use, and fun. I would purchase this Beginnings worktext again. October 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great curriculum The only problem I have is that the cover came off in the first week and he pages are falling out. If you want to remove the pages then this would be great, but I like to keep it all together so it is really frustrating. This book is not necessary for the overall curriculum if your child can already write his letters and recognize letter sounds, this book would not be profitable. October 17, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great curriculum The only issue I have with this book is that the cover came off after the first week and the pages are falling out. I guess it's nice if you separate the pages from the book, but I like to keep it all together. October 17, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fun little booklets This set of booklets for kindergartners is very good for the beginning reader to get used to the idea of reading. The child practices reading with a parent several times with the same book, so that they gain confidence in that set of words. March 23, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by K5 I love this curriculum! It makes teaching my son a whole lot easier. My daughter's school uses the exact same curriculum. I'm teaching my son at home as he is Autistic & we are trying to get him to a point to where he can attend school with his sister. This curriculum being so similar helps a great deal & makes it to where the school is able to assist me in teaching when needed. One thing that would be helpful would be if some of the suggested activities were suited more for homeschooling instead of big classroom settings. Other than that, it's great! October 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Reading Books for K5 Our teacher and students love these resources. The colors are beautiful and the "stories" engaging. Seems like the "Words at Work" and "Reading Guide" pages should be switched, since the Reading Guide is obviously for the teacher and means nothing to the student. Another suggestion - thicker paper. We decided to use volunteer help to disassemble, laminate and reassemble to make them last longer. $47 per student will hopefully make these last three (or more) years. November 4, 2015
