Mr. Daryl Kopp, BA

Mr. Daryl Kopp, a course instructor for BJU Press Distance LearningMr. Kopp grew up in an unsaved family and trusted Christ at 16 years of age, putting the much-needed perspective in his life that had been so miserably absent. Since then, he has been devoted to the Word of God. Reading, studying, teaching, and preaching God’s Word have been a passion, whether teaching fifth-grade Sunday school classes, preaching at youth camps, starting churches in Kenya and Ireland, or teaching Bible in college. "The fruit of all Bible study is to know Christ more intimately, love and adore Him more completely, walk with Him more faithfully, and live for Him more passionately. My goal is to help your student know the facts and stories of the Bible in such a way that Christ is the obvious focal point. I pray that my students will see Christ and be excited about a life of commitment to Him, joyfully exemplifying the heart of Christ when He said, ‘Not my will, but thine, be done.’"

Mrs. Debra Overly, BS, MS

Mrs. Debra Overly, a course instructor for BJU Press Distance LearningMrs. Overly, a mother of three, has experience teaching several elementary grades. "I want to encourage each child to look forward to learning each day and also to provide sufficient practice and review activities to help alleviate mom’s workload. Most importantly, I want to present Christ in each subject that I teach. Each child should hear the gospel and then see in a very practical way how it can change a sinner."

Mrs. Cynthia Bullock, BS

Mrs. Cynthia Bullock, a course instructor for BJU Press Distance LearningAfter graduating from Bob Jones University in 1987, Cynthia Bullock went on to teach history in Virginia, Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina. It was in Michigan that she met her husband, who was the math teacher in the Christian school where they served together for 17 years. They have four children, three girls and a boy. She took ten years off to stay home with them since three of the four are profoundly deaf. When they mainstreamed into a normal classroom, she returned to the classroom. The Lord led her here to BJU Press Distance Learning in 2011. “I'm so excited about having your child as my student. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to serve you by coming along side and lightening your load.”

Mrs. Evanna Walker, BS

Mrs. Evanna Walker, a course instructor for BJU Press Distance LearningMrs. Walker has eight years’ experience teaching first grade at Bob Jones Elementary School. “My first love is to teach a child to read-primarily so that he can read God’s Word for himself and share it with others. He should be able to appreciate what he reads, draw conclusions, and make value judgments to become a thinker.”

Mr. Timothy Snow, BA, MS

Mr. Timothy Snow, a course instructor for BJU Press Distance LearningMr. Snow grew up in a pastor’s home that encouraged service for Christ and saw the need for a solid, Christian education. His parents often sacrificed to see that each of their children was in a Christian school or that they were homeschooled with Christian curriculum. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in history and a Master’s degree in secondary education, he began teaching in Christian schools. In the past twenty years he has served as a Christian school teacher and principal, and God has allowed him to instruct students in history, grammar, literature, and Bible. Mr. Snow also enjoys reading and he is always in search of new books or stories to read. In Explorations in Literature, Mr. Snow desires to pass along his passion for a solid Christian education as well as his love of reading and understanding literature.

Mrs. Ginger Ericson, BS, MAT

Mrs. Ginger Ericson, a course instructor for BJU Press Distance LearningMrs. Ericson gained her love of science from her own high school biology teacher. After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bob Jones University in 1999, she went on to complete a master’s degree in secondary education. It was also at BJU that she met her husband, Geof, who teaches social studies at Bob Jones Academy. Mrs. Ericson has been a part of BJU Press Distance Learning for over 15 years. While she was finishing her education, she served as an assistant to the biology teacher before coming on as a part of the science faculty. She hopes that through science, her students will see the glory and power of their Creator God and desire to serve Him with their whole heart.

Mrs. Andrea Lindstrom Hall, BS

Miss Andrea Lindstrom, a course instructor for BJU Press Distance LearningMrs. Hall (formerly Miss Lindstrom) has three years’ experience teaching in a first-grade classroom. "Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved school and loved learning. It is exciting to work with young children because they are naturally curious and are interested in many things. I want to encourage a child’s natural curiosity, and I want to develop in him a desire to learn for life. I want him to learn not just to acquire knowledge but to use his knowledge to serve and honor the Lord."

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tremendous! We love Bob Jones Distance Learning! My 6 th grader can do it all on her own and loves it that way! The answer guides are easy to get to for checking work text pages and the on-line quizzes and tests are wonderful! I am just the facilitator and we both get along with school a lot better that way!!! Thank you Bob Jones for this fun and engaging learning opportunity ! August 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by will use again Nice teacher. easy to understand. have used abeka and math u see. this is our favorite. March 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful teaching, nice change of pace for students and mom We have been using Science 6 for about a month and are quite pleased. The teachers are interesting, convey solid material, and conduct all the labs (though you can duplicate the labs at home if you desire). The teachers nicely prod the students to study before tests, etc., and the online tests give my daughter outside accountability. As a bonus, I let younger siblings sit nearby while the class video runs. They are all learning SO much! Thank you, BJU! March 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience for Math 6 We started using the Math 6 Online in January after I got to the point that I could not get through to her. The Math Online has been great. She loves the teacher (he is funny according to her) and his method is getting through to her. Not to much homework and if she struggles, we can add more to the homework assignment. The Math 6 is a great product! We love it! March 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the improvements for BJU Science 6!! We enjoy BJU's distance learning programs. The new & improved Science 6 is wonderful! The condensed videos and "print" button on the quizzes and tests being especially exciting as home schoolers'! Over the years we have loved seeing your trend to accommodate home schoolers', making it possible for us to provide a quality education to our children while making it 'work' for our individual situation! Thanks, BJU! February 15, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by My review I really love BJU distance learning for my girls. I love the teachers and the curriculum. I have my degree in Elementary Education, and I can say, BJU is the best. The one thing that is a bummer is that we don't get the hardback teacher books for the online program. I really miss having them on hand, and it is frustrating for me to always have to go to the computer to grade a paper or understand a concept. This is a big downer for me, and I know for a lot of other moms I know. July 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Class My son did BJU online last year for 5th grade. While I liked the quality of the material, his day was WAY too long. This year I ordered 6th grade math and science instead of the entire 6th grade curriculum. I am extremely happy with the changes they have made. The videos are shorter, yet they still provide quality instruction. They also provide all the handouts which saves both time and money. The classes are easy to follow and very thorough. I am confident that my son is getting a quality math and science education with BJU Distance Learning. August 31, 2015
