The second grade Handwriting program does an excellent overview of printing before introducing the cursive font. The lessons are short and the amount of writing is adequate for practice without straining the hand. I like the clean, uncluttered pages while still being colorful and attractive.

My son's public school is not doing handwriting at all, so I purchased this book for him to do as part of his summer "vacation stations" work. It's is easy for him to use, the directions are clear, and I hope that by the time we reach the end his handwriting will be a little more legible!

I want to teach my children how to write and read cursive to give them an advantage. This book does not teach cursive the way I learned it, nor how I've seen many write it. I overlooked a number of things because the other BJU Press homeschooling texts that we use have worked so well, but when I got to cursive b, I was done. Take a long hard look at it before continuing.

This will work perfectly! The colorful pages are attractive and intriguing to students. The use of Bible stories and verses make it an ideal fit for those seeking to maintain a Biblical, Christian Worldview. The transition from precursive to cursive is made so much easier by BJU's philosophy and understanding of letter formations. You WILL like this book! I highly recommend it!
