Sound Friendships
Look inside this book
Sound Friendships, a fiction by Elizabeth Yates, introduces us to Willa, a young woman who has heard only silence since she was fourteen. And then a golden retriever named Honey comes with a pair of brown eyes and a golden heart to match her coat. With the devoted Hearing Dog at her side, Willa enters a world that she thought was closed to her forever. From her own research and experience with the deaf, Newbery-winning novelist Yates tells this tale of a Hearing Dog who opened her owner’s heart and many other hearts as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sound Friendships is an excellent story with excellent information and great literary quality! This is the story of a deaf girl's journey to learn independence. This Elizabeth Yates' story, as well as Amos Fortune Free Man are excellent thought provoking literature for youth and Biblically sound. September 24, 2013
