Space and Earth Science for Distance Learning

Space and Earth Science affirms the young-earth Creationary view of the earth’s history and rejects the uniformitarian/evolutionary models pervading our culture. The material presents a testimony of God’s judgment and plan for redemption through the study of scientific philosophy and models, outer space, meteorology, geology, and oceanography/hydrology. Topics include the sun, moon, stars, planets, asteroids, comets, meteors, atmosphere, lithosphere, and hydrosphere.

Mrs. Sherri Vick, BS

Mrs. Sherri Vick, a course instructor for BJU Press Distance LearningSherri Vick previously taught various elementary and junior high grades. "I like to look at the picture as a whole—to relate one subject to another so that the child can see how God’s plan fits together. I want the child to want to learn, so the lessons have to be fun. Hands-on is the best way, so I don’t want the student to just watch, but participate too! One of my goals is that, after watching the lessons, your child will continue in the things he has learned and develop lifelong learning skills that he can use both now and in the future."

Space and Earth Science DVD Only

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Subject matter is good but teacher materials are poorly organized I am new to BJU curriculum. After using other curriculum with better teacher's guides I am having a hard time liking the set up of the BJU teacher manual for Space and Earth Science with DVDs. It is hard to read, hard to find information, etc. The lesson #'s and assignments can be confusing. I realize it is still early in our school year and we will get better used to these things but I am disappointed. The subject matter and DVD classes have been good however. :) October 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by very good Very thorough course. I believe my daughter is learning a lot. I'm sure they are difficult to produce, but the look appears a bit outdated. September 23, 2015
