Earth Science Subject Kit (4th ed.)

Teach your teenager about the earth and how it functions with the Earth Science (4th ed.) curriculum from BJU Press. The curriculum teaches earth science from a biblical perspective and will encourage your student to use earth science as a means of loving others and exercising dominion over the earth. The curriculum also aims to develop your homeschooler’s critical thinking skills and demonstrates how science can be used to solve problems. During the two-semester course, your teen will study geology, minerals, water, the atmosphere, the solar system, and more.

The Earth Science Subject Kit contains the six items necessary for teaching the course successfully: the student text, the teacher’s edition, the tests, the test answer key, and the student and teacher’s lab manuals.

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use test key. Answers are provided with page location of the information required to understand the question. I appreciate the page numbers listed with the answers. That saves a lot of time when we go back to review why an answer was marked incorrect. October 15, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Science 8 Needs Updating! After several months into this school year, I am convinced that this science curriculum and dvd lessons desperately need to be updated. The material is 5+ years out of date. Another subject might not be affected so greatly by this time frame, but science needs to be kept current. The "patches" made in the material to try to cover the lack (example: a poem about Pluto no longer being considered a planet...the only discussion made of this issue) but are weak. Had I been aware of this I would have chosen a different science curriculum for this school year. November 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Enjoyable, great to teach The presentation of the class, the organization, everything I need is there. September 14, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Excellent information ~ horrid design for textbook While the quality of the content is excellent...the softcover books are absurd. The cost the the text would be acceptable, if not excellent EXCEPT for the fact that they will not endure the beatings that they will take from students throwing them into book bags and lockers. These books will have to be replaced within 2, maybe 3 years. Very disappointed with them. August 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Outstanding worlview! I am just beginning to tap into the resources but am impressed by the worldview. I am a history teacher with a love for earth science (reminds me some of geography) teaching earth science for the first time. I am also overwhelmed with all I have to learn. If the students do no more than read the textbook they will be well on their way to beginning an excellent earth science education. July 17, 2013
