French 2 for Distance Learning

French 2 strengthens students' comprehension of the spoken and written language. Students learn how to respond in real-life situations while expanding their vocabulary and improving their reading skills. They increase freedom of expression through oral and reading comprehension exercises based on excerpts from great French literary works. Grammar exercises focus on reflexive verbs, direct and indirect pronouns, subjunctive mood, and preterit, imperfect, conditional, and past-perfect tenses. Students learn about the many French-speaking lands around the world. Supplements include songs, verses, and video clips. The instructor presents material in both English and French.

This course includes an abridged electronic version of the teacher’s edition that can be viewed while logged on to bjupressonline.com.

Recommended Viewing Schedule: five 45-minute lessons per week; approximately 176 lessons per year

Technical Requirements for Distance Learning Online

Processor: Pentium class, 1 GHz processor or the equivalent.
Operating System: Windows 7, Windows XP service pack 2, Windows Vista, or Mac OSX 10.4 or later, or iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch).
Memory: Minimum of 512MB RAM (or more as required by the operating system*).

Mrs. Susanne Anderson, a course instructor for BJU Press Distance Learning Susanne Anderson received her BA and MA degrees from Bob Jones University and has taught high school French for twenty-one years. She has sponsored three summer missionary trips to France and enjoys sharing her love of the French people and their language with her students. Her French training includes high school, college, and postgraduate grammar and composition classes as well as three years of private tutelage from a former resident of Monaco.
