Heritage Studies 1

Heritage Studies 1 (2nd edition) follows the events in the New World from pre-1000 to 1600s. Your child will learn about the Vikings, Columbus, Plymouth Plantation trading, Native Americans, and early homes and schools. Distance Learning students will set sail on Captain Kleever's ship as Mrs. Lawson teaches about the New World. Christopher Columbus and other historic characters make Heritage Studies come alive onscreen.

This course includes an abridged electronic version of the teacher’s edition that can be viewed while logged on to bjupressonline.com.

Recommended Viewing Schedule: Includes 89 lessons total. Includes 65 video lessons plus 24 non-video lessons. Video lessons are 15 minutes in length.

Science 1

Prepare your child for success in science with the Science 1 Distance Learning course from BJU Press. Science 1 focuses on establishing a foundation of science facts and skills for further science learning. The engaging lessons introduce your child to scientific facts and encourage active participation in order to promote understanding and instill in your child a love of learning. Topics include the following: senses, the weather, seasons, health and safety, animals, matter, sound, plants, and pushes and pulls. All lessons are presented within a biblical worldview to help your child develop knowledge of God.

Mrs. Debbie Overly teaches this course. It is based on the Science 1 (3rd ed.) textbooks from BJU Press.
