K5 Student Kit

The K5 preschool curriculum teaches kindergarteners to develop a broad base of interests by applying their natural curiosity. Bible stories and lessons in Bible Truths spark an early interest in God’s Word. In addition to teaching art, science, and heritage studies, K5 Beginnings teaches listening, phonics, and reading comprehension. Math manipulatives are used to illustrate basic math concepts such as numbers, time, and money. Music K encourages preschool students to get active and learn about music at the same time.

When you purchase a complete student kit, not only do you save money but you also gain the strength of a unified curriculum. Though choosing textbooks from many sources may seem to provide flexibility and customization, using a complete curriculum of BJU Press materials lets students focus on learning rather than on navigating yet another perspective. BJU Press textbooks provide consistency in scriptural and academic standards—every subject, every grade. And our teacher's editions and ancillary materials allow for generous flexibility and customization within a unified biblical worldview.

Please note that this kit is not compatible with Distance Learning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kindergarten homeschooler I love how thorough BJU has made this program... my daughter gets very excited when she advances through the program. A sense of accomplishment is felt and demonstrated with each day. It has given her self confidence and a grasp on the reality of growing up. Thank you BJU! October 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the reading and math curriculum, but the workbook construction needs some help I love the stories and integration of Biblical principles in the reading curriculum. The workbooks are very well thought out and put together. They also are colorful and fun, which keeps their attention. The only thing I don't care for is the construction of the workbooks. They are made to lay open flat, which is great, but after a couple weeks they have come out of the cover and now pages are falling out. October 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by We love it! My child loves all of the pictures . We love the theme . I love how the book is repetitive enough for my child to comprehend the information and remember it! October 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Overall-excellent I was very disappointed this year to discover that the quality of paper being used in the Reading Books has been changed. The books now are flimsy and "cheap" looking. They will not last the students all year for review at home. You can see through the paper to the other side. I used to praise the quality of these books to my parents but am sorry I can't do that this year. The thin paper does not do the artwork justice. Please go back to using the higher quality paper. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great addition to curriculum I set the whole curriculum up into centers in my classroom. This is great for center work and my kids can do it independently! Very age appropriate. September 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by like I really like using these. I just would have liked them to be more durable for the price. Maybe hardback or slick pages to last through several uses. Overall like the books August 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by k5 beginnings worktext Have used Bob Jones for over 11 years now in my homeschooling. If you are using these books with the taped/computer teachers they are excellent. Not a lot of extra busy work. Just enough to reinforce concepts being taught. I am beginning kindergarten with my fifth child on this curriculum. I have used other things in the past with my first 4 children and have found that the children that I have used this program for have thoroughly enjoyed and always look forward to doing their school each day. You can still use the books independent of the DVD's/ computer. Have sometimes done that when did not have time to view the taped program. Either way....they are colorful and the books are well made with a true binding ..........only down side is they are a bit pricey. But, in my case I have found it worth the extra price I have used to do this program. July 15, 2013
