Rated 4 out of 5 by Homeschoolmathteacher Great Conent, Poor Ease of Use
I love this program; the content is amazing in how it teaches the kids the lessons. It's not just worksheets. It's hands-on activities, with fun stories, full of color, that teach complicated topics for this age. I love that some scripture is sprinkled into it. I really would recommend, though, that BJU revise the lesson portion. completely possible for an editor to separate the directions for what the teacher should do and write clearly what the teacher can say; I prefer to have it clearly written what the teacher should say, knowing, though, that I can add or adapt the words. I also wish the teacher book was in one column instead of two columns per page; again, it's confusing to try and glance at it in the process of teaching when it's organized the current way. Never the less, we are getting through quite well. I am amazed how great my student is learning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Currerbell Fantastic, colorful, fun, and thorough!
We love the Bob Jones math books (K5 and 2 used). They are so colorful and fun for my daughter while still being thorough and based on good mathematics principles. In many ways I find myself learning new tricks along with her!
Every lesson also closes with a fabulous short review of previously addressed topics to keep them fresh.
Bob Jones Math is also great if you are hoping to incorporate manipulatives like hundred blocks, ten sticks, etc and often uses visuals that go handily with those tools.
It is great for visual learners, but also for kids with a more "conventional" learning style.
I recommend Bob Jones to everyone looking for great math and will continue to do so!

I have used BJU's 2nd Grade Math for three of our children, and am looking forward to teaching it to our fourth child. The stories are fun and engaging, and are an easy way to help incorporate math concepts throughout the lessons. By using both the main student worktext and the home teacher packet, there are plenty of opportunities for review, manipulative practice and even math fact sheets. I would highly recommend this product to any home school family.

I would recommend BJU math for homeschoolers. The teacher textbook gives you detailed account of what to say if you are unsure of how to explain it. I also like the fact that the teacher workbook has the students worksheet answers included and you don't have to buy a extra book for the answers. With five homeschoolers that saves me a lot of time correcting worksheets. We also use the included cd for extra worksheets as needed. It is colorful and the kids like that! It is a bit pricey but overall I have been satisfied. We are looking at other less expensive curriculums for next year however.

In my 6 yrs. homeschooling 4 children, I have found BJU Math to be one of the best. It is the only curriculum I have used that isn't filled with typos - in fact, I have yet to find a typo in BJU Math which is unheard of. The lessons are well planned out and very easy to follow for both student and teacher. My children love the color workbooks, interesting themes, and daily lessons which can be completed in a reasonable amount of time. The curriculum is well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gramma good for a boy
My grandson's interests are usually limited to tractors, farming, and trucks. He likes this math book because the construction theme caught his fancy. The builder, Matt, and beaver friend, Paddy, go on adventures around the world to help people in other countries construct or repair their dwelling. I like it because it not only teaches math, but also social studies, caring for others, and Scripture verses.
