Rated 3 out of 5 by Not easy to integrate without also using BJU Press English I have been disappointed with this curriculum as my daughter seems to excel with reading. Yet, this program is not challenging enough for her. I also struggle with the teacher's manuals as they are overloaded with information. While I am sure the information is meant to be helpful, I find it very tedious to "sort through it" in order to keep the lesson within a reasonable amount of time. I also find myself advancing my daughter through the lessons just to give her the chance to read--the discussion per lesson is far more than the actual reading. The worksheets do cover many helpful skills. September 19, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by easy to use and goes with text I am glad you added the back for more practice-- that adds value to the page. Easy to pull out pages but the cover comes off and is frustrating to the kids. September 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great program, some assembly required I love this program. I love the stories that build confidence and skills in my young reader. I love the work that goes along with the skills being learned. I don't love the extra prep-work that goes along with it - lots of printing or making things that could have easily been included in the materials ready to go, then you don't really use them but one day (for example, I had to create word family trees from scratch for an activity. We did the activity, and never used it again. For the amount of work that went into it, I'd like to refer back to it several times at least.). Overall, I've found I have to skip some of the activities that are written for a classroom setting, and I don't do the things that require a lot of preparation for a little amount of learning. Other than that, we enjoy the stories and the worksheets that use skills such as cutting and gluing, and not always just a pencil. February 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use. Well coordinated with the reading texts. Easy to add phonics based lessons using the stories. February 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the format, my child enjoys the stories. I found the products easy to use, well integrated with each other. The stories were easy to adapt to phonics lessons. The curriculum includes less bible stories than I expected. My child loves the stories and pictures. Heis more willing to read. February 12, 2013
