Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent materials The Reading 4 curriculum is an excellent reading program. It does an excellent job on furthering thinking skills, reviewing phonics, and developing and maturing writing skills in a child. The fact that it also is a reading challenge to the fourth grade reader is another added benefit. October 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by All BJUP Reading is absolutely excellent!!! Reading 4 is just as good as the rest of BJUP's Reading curriculum. It enhances the phonics the students have already learned, as well as introducing newer, bigger words. The stories are challenging and fun to read. I love it! September 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the stories For children who like to read and even those who don't, there are great stories & a variety of literature. The Reader & Workbook are beautifully illustrated, so children are drawn into it. I am happy with the level of learning, esp. compared with public schooled friends. Even though it's designed for Christian Schools (I am just a homeschooler) since I have 3 children, I justified that purchase by dividing by 3 and buying new Worktexts only for the other 2 children. It took a while for me to adjust to the teacher's guide (as it's very thorough-and geared toward classroom use) but I tailored it to my own style. For my two younger girls, I had the older read the story aloud and they both could answer discussion questions. August 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by My son actually does it on his own. It is wonderful for the grade level and is printed and organized in a way that my 4th grader can maneuver through it with little to no assistance. February 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comprehensive Reading Workbook This book is a comprehensive reading workbook. I reinforces reading and language skills and adds some creative writing, too. It is excellent March 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Don't leave this out! I wasn't going to use the reading subject this year. I am glad I changed my mind! Reading covers some very important content. I like the skill building sections that are integrated throughout the book. We are on our 2nd year of homeschooling and I love BJU Press. I am not crazy about the expense but it is worth it to see my boys engaged with their books and activities. I see results and they enjoy it. It's a win-win for our family. August 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Poor Comprehension Poor comprehension work, at least half of the pages were busy work and not helpful September 16, 2013
