How do I know if my PC has a USB 2.0 port?

For Windows XP, right-click on “My Computer,” then click “Properties.” Select the hardware tab, then the device manager button. Expand the “Universal Serial Bus Controllers” section by clicking on the plus (+) sign. There should be an “Enhanced” USB host controller present.

For Windows 7 or Vista, right-click on Computer, then click “Properties.”  Select “device manager” under “Control Panel Home” (Windows 7) or “Tasks” (Windows Vista) in the upper left area of the window. Expand the “Universal Serial Bus Controllers” section by clicking on the plus (+) sign. There should be an “Enhanced” USB host controller present.
