Rated 5 out of 5Â by freedcaptive01 Just As I Remembered
I bought this movie because I remembered watching this when I was younger. Yes the movie is old, and the quality shows it, but it was just as awesome as I remembered. I do wish they would remake the movie. But I recommend this movie to anything who wants to learn the power of prayer. Awesome story and awesome movie!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Luscious It is one of the best films I have in my home.
I thank God that this film was made many years ago and yet it is excellent today. It is wonderful to think that long ago such a man as Sheffey lived and was so committed to God all his life. The end with the knowledge of the woman he had witnessed to accepting Christ after he was gone was so superb. It shows again that a witness for Christ may accomplish much more than we ever dreamed to help someone to find Christ as Savior.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by linda Great and godly DVD.
This DVD brought home to us the fact that we are lacking in preachers like Sheffey. If preachers believed in the preservation of the Scriptures in the King James Bible, we'd all be blessed for it! Psalm 12:6,7.
"O LORD, thou shalt preserve them"

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jessica We love this movie!
We have loved this movie for years. "Sheffey" gives such a thrilling look at the life of circuit riding preacher Robert Sheffey. It is so exciting to see how God used powerful preaching and a dedicated life to touch so many! One of the most profound parts was near the end of the movie where old brother Sheffey remarks, "These things weren't taken from us, they were given up." He was referring to some of the ways Christianity once impacted the culture and how that influence was weakening even in his day due to the apathy of Christians. I found that line very powerful and timely.
Even though that part was sobering, most of the movie is just a joyful, triumphant, adventure-filled story of God's grace and power in the life of a humble country preacher. I would highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by tpg1949 One of the greatest Gospel films ever made!
I premiered "Sheffey" in Lansing, Michigan many years ago. We easily filled the large high school auditorium that was rented for the showing. (approx. 2,000). The film touches every aspect of a preacher's life and ministry; the mountain top experiences and the despair of the valley. It has been a classic for these many years and continues to bless, convict & encourage those who see it for the first time.
