Great, But...I am using this product to teach a group class. Let me tell you that the CDs are really not necessary. The Teacher's Activity Manual has all of the CD content written in the back. So, you can do these exercises with your child or class without needing the CDs. That is the only thing that brought my evaluation of the value down. The lesson plans were also quite dry. I have used BJU before with elementary curriculum, and they had fun games/ideas for the lesson plans. This book, however, caused me to search out more enjoyable games/plans that would go with the lesson so that my students would not get bored.

Spanish 1 Student TextThe books were received in a timely manner. The ordering and the shipment were satisfactorily completed.
I have issues with the textbook itself. I am a native speaker, fluent in the language. I am having a hard time teaching from the book as a whole and the first few chapters in specific. I do not agree with the way the book introduces the language. I wish I had the time to get involved in restructuring the curriculum. I drive a bus route in the mornings and afternoons. I teach 6 classes, 2 Bible, 2 Geometry and 2 Spanish (1&2). I am also completing my Master of Education. I would like to get involved but currently I don't have the time.
Thank you for asking for the feedback. I hope to better assist in the near future. God bless you all!

Not Easy for Home SchoolsI love the way this product integrates the Bible into each lesson and includes weekly memory verses in Spanish. That is why I purchased this product. However, it is not easy to use in a home school setting because it requires a teacher with extensive Spanish knowledge. Also, it was difficult to coordinate the student lessons with the teacher's manual.

Good curriculum overallI like the curriculum overall, especially Sr. Cancino; he is great! I am not going to use the online version, however, for Spanish 2, because I find it difficult not to have a physical student guide in front of me and connectivity may be a problem for us next year. The sound quality of the Listening Activities is not as good as it should be. It is very difficult to discern what is being said, as it is muffled. My kids groan when we do one. Also, some of the guidance as to what to study does not match up with the online textbook (study prep prior to unit 2 test). The tests are pretty difficult, you definitely need to study, and if a student does not put quotation marks or something small like that around a verse, it will count it wrong. Fortunately, it is easy for the teacher to go in and correct the grade. Also, the grading is immediate and kept online, which is a plus. Keeping track of where you are and what you need to do each day in the course is made easy in this version. Overall, it is a good curriculum and I would recommend it.

Very well done.I very much like using this series as a 17 year veteran in teaching Spanish in the New York State public school system, I find that the BJU series is usually better in the grammar sections as well as general interest.

Excellent! My 9th grade daughter is using this and doing well. I found it a little odd that they don't start with just some basic vocabulary, so I guess there is the assumption that the student has been exposed to Spanish beforehand. We have the complete set and it is working well for us.

Necessary to grade Activity Manual, but not always helpful. If your child is using the Activities Manual, then you will need this. However, there are a great many times when the answer key simply says, "Answers will vary." For a non-Spanish-speaking teacher/mom, this is not terribly helpful in grading assignments! Also, there are a great deal of words and grammar situations that are expected to be known and understood, but that have not been taught yet. It is very frustrating for the students and the teacher.
