- Parent Guide and Student Handout Packets that include all required teacher support materials and answer keys.
Grade 4 Scheduling Information: 180 days of work in each Grade 4 course. Average daily video time: 2 hours 20 minutes.
About DVD Video Courses
Ordering the DVD only option only includes the DVD sets and access to any additional digital resources that are available on your account on bjupresshomeschool.com. This option works best when you already have all required textbooks that are compatible with the video courses and just need the video lessons. DVD only purchases will still come with printed copies of parent guides, student handouts, and the video lesson guide, but will not include printed test packets (Grades 1–4). Grades 5–12 will still receive tests included in the parent guides. Per the video course agreement, DVD courses must be returned after 13 months from the purchase date.
Purchasing a subscription for these DVD video courses gives you access to an all-in-one homeschool curriculum, covering all of your core courses for the year and helping you to meet your state’s work and time requirements for your homeschool year. Steps 1–3 allow you to customize your kit format, what you receive, and the grade level of some courses. You may also add a Bible elective.

This course covers American history beginning with the Civil War and ending with World War II.
English 4 DVD Only (2nd ed.)
This course fosters an appreciation of language as a gift of God by developing the correct use of English grammar in written and oral communication.
Spelling 4 DVD Only (2nd ed.)
This course includes instruction about spelling patterns and roles, as well as the use of words in context.
Reading 4 DVD Only (3rd ed.)
This course guides readers toward comprehension and lifelong reading success by teaching reading strategies from a biblical worldview.
Math 4 DVD Only (3rd ed.)
This course provides an interactive approach to build your student’s understanding of multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, geometry, and pre-algebra.
Science 4 DVD Only (4th ed.)
This course explores God’s creation through a study of ecosystems, insects, forces and machines, electricity and magnetism, light, the moon, water and oceans, weathering and erosion, natural resources, digestion, and the skeletal and muscular systems.
Handwriting 4 DVD Only (2nd ed.)
This course emphasizes refining handwriting skills while using journals, paragraphs, outlines, and hymns for handwriting practice.

Dr. Michelle Jarrell has 15 years of teaching experience. When she was in school, Dr. Jarrell struggled with some subjects. As a result, she learned practical ways to understand and remember information. She hopes to pass these tips on to your child.

Mrs. Lawson has five years' experience teaching in the classroom and over ten years at BJU Distance Learning. "One of my goals in teaching is to help your child feel successful at his present level and to encourage him to improve. I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was a little girl, and I’m thankful to the Lord for letting me teach your child through this Distance Learning program."
