A first-grade heritage studies course that covers foundational social studies skills and includes a textbook, a workbook, and DVD video lessons from an experienced teacher.
Phonics & English, Reading, Handwriting 1 DVD with Books (3rd ed.)
Correlated phonics and reading lessons teach phonics, reading, listening comprehension, writing, and grammar.
Spelling 1 DVD with Books (3rd ed.)
This course teaches students how to use phonics principles and generalizations to find spelling patterns in words.
Math 1 DVD with Books (3rd ed.)
This course uses manipulatives and real-life experiences to teach basic math facts in addition, subtraction, geometry, time, money, measurements, fractions, and place value.
Science 1 DVD with Books (4th ed.)
A first-grade science course that includes a textbook, a workbook, and DVD video lessons with hands-on science activities and STEM experiences.
Printed Teacher’s Editions are not included with this kit. A complete copy of the Teacher’s Edition (formerly TE on CD) and the Teacher’s Toolkit CD as well as files for printing materials from the Teacher Support Materials CD are available by logging into the BJU Press Homeschool Hub at homeschoolhub.com. If you desire a printed Teacher Edition, please contact Customer Service for special pricing.
All DVD Distance Learning kits now include a Parent Guide as well as a Student Worksheets Packet. The printed parent guides for Grade 5 and above include tests and quizzes and corresponding answer keys. Test packets sold with textbook kits are not compatible with tests used in video courses.
