Your child will also develop a beginning reading and conversational ability, laying the foundation for further study of the language. The course emphasizes understanding and practical application rather than rote memory. Your child will need a basic understanding of English grammar before beginning this course. It is based on the Spanish 1 (2nd ed.) textbooks from BJU Press.

All DVD kits now include a Parent Guide as well as a Student Worksheets Packet. The printed parent guides for Grade 5 and above include tests and quizzes and corresponding answer keys. Test packets sold with textbook kits are not compatible with tests used in video courses.
