Spanish 1 presents the basics of the Spanish language as spoken in Latin America . Your child will learn greetings, verb conjugations, basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammatical structures and get a glimpse of the Spanish-speaking world as a mission field. Your child will also develop a beginning reading and conversational ability, laying the foundation for further study of the language.

Your child will also develop a beginning reading and conversational ability, laying the foundation for further study of the language. The course emphasizes understanding and practical application rather than rote memory. Your child will need a basic understanding of English grammar before beginning this course.

All DVD kits now include a Parent Guide as well as a Student Worksheets Packet. The printed parent guides for Grade 5 and above include tests and quizzes and corresponding answer keys. Test packets sold with textbook kits are not compatible with tests used in video courses.
