English 8 will enhance your child’s communication abilities by refining basic grammar concepts, challenging writing abilities, and introducing multiple literary genres. Each daily session will feature two separate lessons: one discussing writing and grammar, and one discussing, analyzing, and evaluating works of literature.

A special segment featuring good thesis statements.
Students should come having completed any assigned reading and having attempted any assignmed grammar exercises. They should also have their grammar worktext open and their literature material available nearby for easy reference.
Students should complete any assigned grammar or reading exercises. Students should also schedule adequate time to complete larger writing projects.

All DVD Distance Learning kits now include a Parent Guide as well as a Student Worksheets Packet. The printed parent guides for Grade 5 and above include tests and quizzes and corresponding answer keys. Test packets sold with textbook kits are not compatible with tests used in video courses.
