Little Bear at Big School

Little Bear at Big School is the fourth in the Little Bear Adventure series of easy-to-read picture books, written by award-winning author Kathleen Allan-Meyer and illustrated by Elaine Garvin. At first, Little Bear thinks that Big School will be wonderful. He'll learn to read and write and count just like his big brothers do. But he soon discovers that going to school isn't as easy for him as fishing, or climbing trees, or picking berries. "Maybe I don't need to learn to read and write and count," Little Bear tells himself. "It's hard, and it's not very much fun. Why is it so important?"
