What readers love about JourneyForth books
My kindergarten class absolutely loves Farmer Dillo. The books are easy to read and are very educational. The pictures are brightly colored and the book keeps the attention of my class. They love to say “Farmer Dillo.”

[This Dear-Bought Land is a] great addition to our homeschool library and studies on this part of history. We enjoyed reading aloud to our children. Informational and engaging living book.

Abridgement Statement
JourneyForth identifies some of our classic novels as light abridgements for the sake of clarifying that they differ slightly from the original novels. Common changes we have made include the following:
- Obscure words have been replaced with appropriate synonyms. These are words that cannot be found in a current dictionary or are not easily comprehended from the context.
- Instances of profanity have been removed.
- Long narrative and descriptive passages have been tightened or deleted when they do not advance the story.
These changes have been made with today’s reader in mind and to maintain the integrity of the author’s literary heft while improving the readability.
